Chavuttidhara

Chavuttidhara™ is a floor-based barefoot flow bodywork method inspired by Chavutti Thirumal from Kerala, India and developed by Al Poliarco. "Chavutti" means foot and "Dhara" means flow. The method teaches practitioners how to use portable Travel Bars for balance, control, and safe gravity-assisted pressure while applying an adaptable full-body sequence across floor-based, mobile, and flexible treatment settings.

Floor-Based

Work with the ground for stability, flow, and leverage.

Gravity-Assisted

Use your body weight and gravity for effective pressure.

Portable & Versatile

Adaptable for different environment settings.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Chavuttidhara™ combines gravity-assisted barefoot bodywork with grounded movement, balance, and flowing therapeutic application. Inspired by the traditional Chavutti Thirumal lineage of Kerala, India, the method emphasizes efficient body mechanics, controlled pressure, adaptability, and practitioner sustainability.

The approach is centered around rhythmic movement, gravity-led barefoot techniques, and purposeful transitions designed to reduce practitioner strain while delivering effective therapeutic pressure. Portable Travel Bars support stability, leverage, and safe movement, allowing the method to be adapted across a variety of professional treatment environments.

Primarily influenced by Eastern barefoot bodywork traditions, especially Chavutti Thirumal, Chavuttidhara™ has been adapted for modern therapeutic and educational settings. The method focuses on practical application, client safety, movement efficiency, and treatment adaptability while preserving the flowing principles that inspired its development.
